GLASSBORO, NJ – The Richard Stockton volleyball team started its conference schedule with a 3-0 victory over host Rowan University on Tuesday night. The Ospreys won 30-15, 30-15 and 30-24.

Amanda Burkart (so. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) led Stockton with 16 kills. Burkart also recorded seven service aces and nine digs. Audrey O’Donnell (so. Bogota, NJ/Immaculate Heart) and Nicole Williams (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) added nine and eight kills respectively. Christine Aletras (so. Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) compiled 39 assists and 13 digs. Colleen Bachman (sr. Closter, NJ/Northern Valley) and Williams totaled 10 digs apiece.

For Rowan, Alexis Louie (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) had 10 kills, eight digs and one ace. Karen Ramirez (fr. Bogota, NJ/Bogota) followed with nine kills and 11 digs. Chrissy McKay (fr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) compiled 19 assists. Theresa Pecoraro (jr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) added 10 digs.

Richard Stockton has an overall record of 5-3 (1-0) while Rowan is 2-7 (0-1) on the season. The Ospreys host a tournament on Saturday, September 16. The Profs’ next match is at Widener University on Thursday, September 14.
