BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team played two matches on the final day of the Greyhound Premiere Invitational. Albright College defeated Rowan, 3-0 in the first match while DeSales University had a 3-1 victory. The two-day invitational was hosted by Moravian College.

Albright won with the game scores of 30-21, 30-24 and 30-23. Theresa Pecoraro ( jr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) had a .455 hitting percentage for Rowan. Pecoraro also contributed with 10 digs and three blocks. Alexis Louie (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) totaled 12 kills and 10 digs. Karen Ramirez (sr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) compiled nine digs, eight kills and two service aces.

Against DeSales, Louie recorded 22 kills, 26 digs and two blocks. Pecoraro added seven kills, 31 digs, five blocks and two aces. Chrissy McKay (fr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) had 35 assists, 16 digs and five blocks. Rowan won the first game, 30-26 and DeSales came back to win three straight, 30-17, 30-22,
30-25.

The Profs (0-4) have their home opener on Wednesday, September 6 against Philadelphia University at
7 p.m.
