Rowan Wins Second Straight Match, 3-1 Over Rutgers-Camden

GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team beat Rutgers-Camden, 3-1 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Tuesday.

The Profs improve to 5-10 overall and 2-3 in the conference. The Scarlet Raptors have a 5-7 overall record and a 1-3 NJAC mark.

Rowan won with game scores of 30-28, 30-27, 28-30 and 30-22. Leading the way was outside hitter Karen Ramirez (fr. Bogota, NJ/Bogota) with 14 kills, 16 digs and eight service aces. Outside hitter Alexis Louie (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) added 14 kills, 15 digs and two aces. Middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (jr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) totaled 14 digs and setter Chrissy McKay (fr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) had 32 assists.

Rowan hosts Immaculata University on Saturday, October 7 at 1 p.m.
