GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men’s soccer team tied Wilmington, 1-1 after two overtimes in a non-conference game on Monday.

Rowan’s overall record stands at 7-4-2, while Wilmington is 9-3-2.

The Profs went ahead 1-0 at 17:07 in the first half when midfielder Andrew Finger (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) knocked in his own rebound. Forward Sean Docherty (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) picked up the assist. At 28:47, Wilmington forward Sargbah Tarpeh (fr. Philadelphia, PA/Overbrook) scored on a pass from midfielder Probyn Allen (so. Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) to tie the game.

Rowan outshot Wilmington, 22-21. Rowan goalie Anthony Clemente (sr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) made 11 saves, including three in overtime. Goalie Dan Mangat (jr. Newark, DE/St. Mark’s) stopped nine shots.

Rowan hosts the University of Scranton on Wednesday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m.
