GLASSBORO, NJ – The Philadelphia Biblical University women’s volleyball team defeated host Rowan University, 3-1 in a nonconference match on Tuesday night. The game scores were 30-21, 34-36, 30-26 and 30-20.

Rowan was led by Alexis Louie (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) with 15 kills and Karen Ramirez (fr. Bogota, NJ/Bogota) contributed with 13. Louie was also first with 20 digs. Ramirez compiled 16 digs and Theresa Pecoraro (jr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) followed with 14.

Also in double figures was Chiewsze Cheah (jr. East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) with 11 digs. Chrissy McKay (fr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) recorded 28 assists and Pecoraro registered five blocks.

Philadelphia Biblical has an overall record of 15-7 while Rowan is 6-11 on the season. On Thursday, October 12, Rowan travels to Montclair State University for a 7 p.m. conference match.
