Goalkeeper Charlie Cunliffe (so. Lakewood, NJ/Lakewood) led the men’s soccer team to a 2-0-1 record last week. At Wilkes University (Oct. 8), he made four saves in a 0-0 tie after two overtimes. Cunliffe stopped six shots in Rowan’s 1-0 upset over Ithaca College (Oct. 11). He turned away two shots against Marywood University (Oct. 12) to earn his third shutout of the season. For his performance, Cunliffe was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week. He is currently ranked sixth in the conference with a 1.20 goals against average and his 75.7 save percentage is ninth.
