LaRosa (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) led the defense in the football team’s 27-23 win at Christopher Newport University. He compiled 13 tackles, including 10 solo stops. LaRosa had two tackles for a loss of nine yards and a fumble recovery.
He recovered the Captains’ fumble when they were on the Profs’ two yard line with 23 seconds left in the game. For his performance, he was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
This season, the linebacker has totaled 53 tackles (27-26), 11 tackles for a loss (60) and 4.5 sacks (37). In the conference, he is tied for second in tackles for a loss and fifth in sacks.
