Right-handed pitcher Andrew DiPiazza (jr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.) tossed a two-hit gem in a 14-0 win over Ripon College at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational (March 10). He threw seven shutout innings, taking a no-hitter into the seventh and tying the school record with 15 strikeouts. DiPiazza equaled the feat held by Ryan Kulik and Robert Pfeffer. He allowed one walk in the first inning before retiring the next 17 batters. DiPiazza is 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 21 strikeouts. He was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week.
