Sean Piacente (sr. New City, NY/Clarkstown S.) qualified for the national championships with his performance at the NCAA Northeast/South Diving Regional (March 2-3). He placed third (526.65) in the three-meter diving and was sixth (439.60) on the one-meter board. Piacente was the third diver of six from the regional that qualified for the national meet. He was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Diver of the Week for the fourth straight time and fifth overall.
