Defensive end Kevin Stokes (jr. Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) sparked a dominant defensive effort in the football team’s season-opening 6-0 win over non-conference rival Widener University (Sept. 2). He registered six total tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. The Profs’ defense allowed just 131 yards, including minus-15 rushing, in the shutout. Stokes was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week. He currently leads the NJAC in tackles for a loss and sacks.
