Sean Corey (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) won the javelin at the Battleground Relays in Fredericksburg, VA (Mar. 29). His throw of 195’ 8” (59.63 meters) was better than the NCAA provisional (188’, 57.30 meters). Corey automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in May with his toss of 214’ 6.5” (65.39 meters) at the Wake Forest Open (Mar. 21). He currently has the top distance in Division III. Corey was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.
