Forward Shawn Wilson (sr. Plesantville, NJ/Pleasantville) was named the first New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Week of the 2016-17 season after leading the men’s basketball team to a 2-1 week, including the Widener Tip-Off for Autism Awareness title. Wilson averaged 26.3 points and 6.0 rebounds, while shooting 51.9 percent (27-for-52) from the floor. He put together a pair of 30-point, five rebound games at the Widener Tip-Off. The 30 points against Farmingdale State (Nov. 18) and host Widener (Nov. 19) set, then matched, a career-high for the senior forward. Wilson garnered Tournament MVP honors.
