Right-hander Beth Ann Hyland (sr. East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) earned Most Outstanding Pitcher honors at the NCAA Ithaca Super Regional, helping the softball team advance to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Hyland went 2-0 against Ithaca College, allowing just three earned runs on 12 hits in 12.1 innings. She pitched a complete-game shutout with six strikeouts in game one (May 20), a 1-0 victory. In the game two clincher, Hyland hurled 5.1 innings. On the season, she is 25-5 with a 1.42 earned run average and has 162 strikeouts.
