Third baseman Dillon Mendel (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week after his performance in a 5-0 week for the baseball team. Mendell hit .583 (14-24), with 13 RBIs, five runs scored, four doubles, one triple and two stolen bases. He went 5-for-6, including two doubles, drove in four runs and scored twice in the victory over Eastern University (Apr. 19). Against William Paterson (Apr. 23-24), Mendel recorded six hits in 10 at-bats with two doubles and two RBI. For the season, he has a .434 batting average, five doubles, four triples, 20 RBIs and eight runs scored.
