Forward Kate Matthews (gr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) collected two more double-doubles, for five in a row, in two women’s basketball victories last week and was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Week. She now has eight double-doubles this season. Matthews scored 20 points and tied her season-high with 17 rebounds, leading the Profs to a 68-64 win at Montclair State University (Jan. 6). She then collected 17 points and 15 rebounds in a 103-97 victory over Kean University (Jan. 9). Matthews is averaging 11.4 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. She ranks second in the NJAC in rebounding and 15th in scoring.
