Melirah Searcy (sr. Edison, NJ/Edison) earned NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after competing at the New Year’s Invitational (Dec. 7), which was held at Princeton University. Searcy finished fourth in a field of 18 runners in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:37.54. She also was a member of the 4x400 meter relay, which was third with an ECAC qualifying time of 4:01.18. The performance by the relay currently ranks as the best NJAC time.
