Melirah Searcy (fr. Edison, NJ/Edison) turned in great times at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet (May 14) and the ECAC Championships (May 17-18). At Swarthmore, she took second in the 400 meter hurdles with a season best time of 1:02.00, which is 11th in the NCAA Division III. At the ECAC Championships, Searcy ran on the first place (9:21.39) 4x800 meter relay that broke the school record. The previous mark was 9:24.84 in 2010. She finished third in the 400 meter hurdles (1:02.52). Searcy was the anchor on the seventh place (3:55.87) 4x400 meter relay. She will run the 400 meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday-Saturday, May 24-26. The meet is in Claremont, CA.
