Right-hander Steven Melchiorre (jr. Atco, NJ/Hammonton) guided the baseball team to a 2-0 victory over eighth ranked Kean University (Apr. 20). He pitched a complete game allowing only four hits. Melchiorre tallied a career-high 11 strikeouts. For his performance, he was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week. This season, Melchiorre is 4-1 with a 3.50 earned run average. He has compiled 42 strikeouts in 54 innings.
