Shantel Beckford (fr. Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) turned in an excellent performance at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University (Mar. 30-31).  She won the 100 meters with at time of 12.77.  Beckford also finished seventh in the 200 meters (27.48).  She ran the third leg of the fourth place 4x100 meter relay that finished with a time of 50.30.  Beckford was chosen the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week.
