Max Tyburski (jr. Burke, VA/Lake Braddock Secondary) turned in an excellent performance at the 2012 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships (Mar. 21-24).  Tyburski took seventh in the 50 (20.49) and 100 (45.23) freestyles for All-America honors in each event.  Tyburski broke the school records in the 50 and 100 freestyles with 20.37 and 44.66 respectively in the prelims.  The previous marks were held by Eric Dinsmore (March 1997) with 20.51 in the 50 and 45.04  in the 100.  Tyburski also swam on four relays that received All-America honorable mention.  Rowan came in 11th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:23.34), 13th in the 400 medley (3:24.20) and 800 freestyle (6:46.30) relays and 15th in the 200 medley relay (1:33.33).  The 200 medley relay set a new school record with 1:32.74 in the prelims, the old mark was 1:33.41 (1996).  The time in the 800 freestyle relay surpassed the school record (6:48.46) from earlier this season.  Tyburski was chosen the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Swimmer of the Week for the fourth time this year.
