Melirah Searcy (fr. Edison, NJ/Edison) helped the women’s indoor track team to a third place finish at the Thomson Invitational (Jan. 28).  She won the 500 meters with a school record time of 1:20.55.  Searcy broke her own University mark (1:21.75) from earlier this year at the New York City Gotham Cup (Jan. 13).  Her time was also better than the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships qualifier of 1:22.00.  Searcy ran the second leg of the winning 4x800 meter relay (9:42.35).
