Jena Peacock (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy Academy) won the one mile run unseeded at the New York City Gotham Cup (Jan. 13). The meet was held at the New Balance Track and Field Center at The Armory in New York, NY. Peacock recorded a time of 5:08.95 in the one mile. She ran the first leg of the first place distance medley relay. The time of 12:15.99 broke the school record (12:35.25) that was set in 2011. For her performance, Peacock was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.
