Center Dee Benson (so. Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) guided the men’s basketball team to a 1-1 week.  He averaged 21.5 points (ppg) and 8.5 rebounds (rpg) per game.  In an 89-64 victory over Penn State Brandywine (Dec. 9), Benson scored a season-high 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  He added 21 points and six boards in Rowan’s 66-63 loss to Widener University (Dec. 10).  Benson was selected to the Heritage’s Dairy Stores Classic All-Tournament Team.  This season, he leads the team with 14.6 ppg and 8.1 rpg.  Benson is shooting .514 from the field.
