Demetrius Rooks (so. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) took fifth place in the 400 meters at the Armory Collegiate Challenge (Feb. 25). His time of 49.34 was better than the NCAA provisional for a banked track (49.35). Rooks surpassed his previous season best of 49.56 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships (Feb. 20). He is currently tied for the 25th fastest time in the 400 meters in Division III this season.
