Swimmer Bill Malone (sr. Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) led the men’s swim team to a 164.5-129.5 victory over the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Dec. 11). Malone was part of the first place 400 yard freestyle relay (3:12.60). He won three individual events, including the 50 (21.79), 100 (46.77) and 200 (1:42.55) freestyles. His time in the 200 freestyle broke the school record of 1:43.41 held by Mike Wilkinson (February 1999). Malone’s 100 freestyle time was a career best. He received New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this year.
