Aaron Braxton (so. Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) won the discus at the NYC Qualifying Challenge (May 13) and the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet (May 14). At the NYC Qualifying Challenge, Braxton recorded a throw of 165’ (50.30 meters). He was also third in the shot put with 50’ 1.75” (15.28 meters). Braxton’s winning toss at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet was 156’5” (47.67 meters). Braxton’s best throw this year of 173’3” (52.81 meters), which he recorded at the Danny Curran Invitational (Mar. 31) is a NCAA automatic. He was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the fifth time.
