Defender Shannon O’Brien (fr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) guided the women’s lacrosse team to a 1-1 record last week. Against 17th ranked Catholic University (Apr. 20), she recorded five ground balls and one caused turnover. At Rutgers-Camden (Apr. 22), O’Brien scored two goals. It marked her first collegiate goals. She also had three ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. For her performance, she was chosen the NJAC Rookie of the Week. O’Brien leads the Profs with 25 caused turnovers and she is second with 29 ground balls. She has also collected
13 draw controls.
