Sean Corey (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) took first place among collegiate competitors and was third overall in the javelin at the Wake Forest Open (Mar. 19-20). His throw of 215’ 3” (65.61 meters) was better than the NCAA automatic qualifier (205’ 1”, 62.50 meters). He fell just short of his career best mark of 215’ 5” (65.65 meters) at the 2008 Collegiate Track Conference Championships. For his performance, Corey was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week.
