Kyle Hayes (jr. Pt. Pleasant, NJ/Pt. Pleasant Boro) won the long jump at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships (Mar. 5-6). He recorded a distance of 23’ 5.25” (7.14 meters), which was better than the NCAA provisional (22’ 8.5”, 6.92 meters). For his performance, Hayes earned his second New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week honor. He qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and will compete in the long jump on Friday, March 12 at 3:30 p.m.
