Catcher Steph Taraschi (jr. Mt. Ephraim, NJ/Audubon) led the softball team with a .455 batting average last week. She also had two runs scored, one RBI and a double. In the NJAC Championship Tournament against Montclair State University (Apr. 28), Taraschi went two for two with one run scored. She posted one hit (three at bats) in each of Rowan’s games against Ramapo College (May 1) and The College of New Jersey (May 2). Taraschi ended the week with one hit in three plate appearances, one RBI, one run scored and a double versus William Paterson University (May 2). This season, she is hitting a team best .345 with 23 RBIs, 23 runs scored, nine doubles, four home runs and one triple.
