First baseman Nicki Veneziano (fr. Bloomfield, NJ/Bloomfield) led the softball team to a 4-0 week. In Rowan’s doubleheader sweep of Richard Stockton College (Apr. 17), she recorded four hits (four at bats), three runs scored, one RBI, one triple and two stolen bases (two attempts). Veneziano was a combined four for seven with four runs scored, two RBIs and two doubles in Rowan’s two victories over Rutgers-Newark (Apr. 18). This year, she has a .344 batting average with 27 runs scored, 12 RBIs, two doubles, one triple and one home run. She is first on the team with 13 stolen bases in 15 attempts. Veneziano was selected the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive time.
