Right handed pitcher Jackie Sasko (jr. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 2-0 in two appearances for the softball team. In Rowan’s season opener against Wilkes University (Feb. 29), Sasko pitched a complete game, allowing only one hit and striking out eight batters. In Rowan’s win over sixth ranked Moravian College (Mar. 1), Sasko allowed one run in seven innings. She recorded 12 strikeouts and only gave up five hits. She also posted three RBIs against the University of Rochester (Mar. 1). For her performance, Sasko was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Week.
