Kyle Hayes (so. Pt. Pleasant, NJ/Pt. Pleasant Boro) won the long jump at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 7). He had a distance of 23’ (7.01 meters) which was better than the NCAA provisional (22’ 10”, 6.96 meters). Hayes was also the lead runner on the 4x200 meter relay that took first place with a time of 1:33.67. For his performance, he was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. Hayes currently has the seventh best long jump performance this year in the NCAA Division III.
