Box Score MAHWAH, NJ – The Ramapo College men's basketball team won 96-78 over visiting Rowan University on Wednesday night.
Forward Thomas Bonacum (jr. Fanwood, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Forward Sultan Aminu (sr. Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) contributed with 15 points and forward Nick Stanek (jr. Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) came off the bench for 14 points. Aminu also collected seven boards. Guard Patrick Peterson (fr. Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee) added 10 points and six rebounds. Guard Josh Ford (jr. Fort Lee, NJ/Fort Lee) chipped in with nine points.
The Roadrunners are undefeated with a 14-0 record and an 8-0 mark in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. This week, they are ranked 13th in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll. The Profs are 9-6 overall and 4-4 in the conference.

Nick DePersia (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) led Rowan with 14 points and forward
Shawn Wilson (sr. Pleasantville, NJ/Pleasantville) had 13. Forwards
TJ Booth (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and
Gary Carthan (sr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) tallied eight and seven points respectively. They each pulled down six rebounds along with Wilson. Guard
Rob DePersia (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) and forward
Jordan Sintras (fr. Sydney, Australia/St. Ignatius' College, Riverview) had six points apiece.
In the first 10 minutes of the second stanza, the Roadrunners had an eight-point lead two times. Peterson sank two foul shots and the score was 60-52 at 13:17. Guard
DaRon Curry's (so. Deptford, NJ/Phelps School (PA)) jumper at 10:59 put the Profs within five (64-59). Ramapo started to pull away with a 7-0 spurt, which increased its advantage to 12 (71-59) with 9:28 on the clock. Bonacum scored five points in the run. The Roadrunners were up by 18 (79-61) after eight straight points with 7:16 left. Stanek and Bonacum each totaled four points. Stanek hit a jumper and Ramapo had a 23-point lead (90-67) at 3:26.
Bonacum and Aminu led Ramapo with 13 points apiece in the first half. The Roadrunners were ahead 14-8 at 16:12 and the Profs trailed by two (14-12) after two Wilson foul shots and a layup from Booth. Stanek's two free throws (13:36) gave Ramapo an eight-point lead (22-14). Sintras hit a three (12:04) to cut the deficit to four (24-20).
Nick DePersia scored back-to-back jumpers and Rowan trailed 32-28 at 8:21.
Aminu registered two straight baskets, which increased the lead to 11 (42-31) with 4:18 remaining.
Rob DePersia answered with a jumper and foul shot while
Nick DePersia and Curry each had a basket. The Profs were down 42-38 at 3:05. Forward Jermaine Peart's (sr. Paterson, NJ/Paterson Catholic) layup (1:52) made the score 47-39.
Nick DePersia followed with two baskets and the Profs trailed 47-43 (0:59). Bonacum ended the period with a jumper and free throw (0:05) to lead 50-43 at the intermission.
Next, Rowan is home against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 3 p.m.
