WAVERLY, IA – Rowan University’s Jena Peacock took 18th place for All-American at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Eric DuBois finished 45th overall. The national championships were held at the Max Championship Cross Country Course.

Peacock (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy Academy) had a time of 21:34.2 over the 6K course. The top 35 finishers earned All-America honors. DuBois (jr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) ran the 8K course in 25:06.7 which was a career best.

The women’s race was won by St. Lawrence University’s Wendy Pavlus in 20:49.3 while Haverford College’s Anders Hulleberg was the men’s winner with a time of 24:22.2. There were 279 competitors for both the women’s and men’s races.

This was Peacock’s second appearance at the NCAA Championships and the first for DuBois. Peacock and DuBois qualified for the national championship based on their performance at the NCAA Atlantic Regional on November 13. Peacock took fifth place with a time of 22:06.7 and DuBois finished 15th in 25:19.5. They both earned All-Region honors for the second time.

This season, Peacock won the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) title for the second straight year. She ran a winning time and season best of 21:17.16. She was the NJAC Runner of the Year for the second time and a member of the All-Conference first team for the third consecutive season. Peacock won the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships in 18:30 which was a 5K race. She came in fourth (21:59) at the Paul Short Run and eighth (22:28.0) at the Oneonta Invitational.

DuBois came in second at the NJAC Championships with a season best time of 25:40.37. He received All-Conference first team honors for the second straight year. DuBois won the Paul Short Run in 26:10. At the CTC Championships, he was third with a time of 26:27. DuBois also had a fourth place (26:10) at the Sea Gull Opener.
