FINAL RESULTS
GLASSBORO, NJ -- The 15th-ranked Rowan women's swimming and diving team got their 2021-22 season off on the right foot with a convincing 181-61 victory over York at the Tony Lisa Natatorium on Saturday.
Jordan McChesney finished first in a total of four events. She was the top swimmer in the 50 Free (24.62s) and the 100 Free (53.40) and also teamed with
Kylie Salerno,
Nicole Harms, and
Veronica Alferez in both the 200 Medley (1:51.89) and 200 Free Relay (1:44.02).
Alferez,
Natalina Baldinazzo, and
Gabby Buck were also dual winners in individual events. Alferez took first in the 1000 Free (11:06.01) and 500 Free (5:29.32) while Baldinazzo was tops in the 200 Breaststroke (2:39.57) and 200 IM (2:18.13). Buck won the 200 (2:15.46) and the 100 Butterfly (1:02.02).
Other first place finishers included: Harms in the in 100 Breaststroke (1:09.66), Salerno in the 100 backstroke (1:02.43),
Elizabeth Jones in the 200 Free (2:04.58), and
Emma Padros in the 200 Backstroke (2:15.46).
The team returns to action on Friday when the women head to Kean for their first NJAC competition.
