GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's swim team cruised to a 209-52 win over Ramapo College on Saturday.
 
The Profs have a 4-2 record and they are 3-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.  Rowan took first place in the 200 medley (1:52.56) and 400 freestyle (3:43.95) relays.  The medley relay included Abigail Brous (fr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford), Megan Miller (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.), Gabby Gligor (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) and Antonia Simunek (fr. Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway).  Bianca Karpinski (so. Morris Plains, NJ/Morristown), Elizabeth O'Brien (fr. Flemington, NJ/Hunderdon Central Reg.), Megan Miller (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) and Miranda Coughlan (jr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) were on the free relay.
 
The Profs captured first in all 12 individual events.  Coughlan won the 50 (24.67), 100 (54.24) and 200 (1:57.76) freestyles.  Gligor touched first in the 100 (59.97) and 200 (2:15.09) butterflies.  She finished third (2:22.06) in the 200 individual medley.
 
Carlee Timmins (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) was the winner in the 500 (5:20.04) and 1000 (10:50.38) freestyles.  Alex Bambrick (so. Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) came in first in the 100 (1:01.71) and 200 (2:13.07) backstrokes.  Emily Kopchick (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) swam 1:10.10 in the 100 breaststroke for first place.  She had a third place (2:37.83) in the 200 breaststroke.    
 
Emily LaBenski (so. Wenonah, NJ/Deptford Twp.) was the winner in the 200 breaststroke (2:32.52) and 200 individual medley (2:18.22).  LaBenski finished second (11:09.89) in the 1000 freestyle and Claire McKissick (so. Ellicott City, MD/Archbishop Spalding) was third (11:40.00).  McKissick also had a third place (5:42.80) in the 500 freestyle. 
 
Simunek finished second (56.38) in the 100 free and Megan Miller (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) was third (57.79).  Amanda Burke (sr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.) took second in the 100 (1:02.56) and 200 (2:13.91) backstrokes.  Miller and Bailey Howarth (so. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) were second (1:10.16) and third (1:11.35) respectively in the 100 breaststroke.  Howarth had second places in the 200 breaststroke (2:32.65) and 200 individual medley (2:21.76).
 
Veronica Alfrez (fr. Elmwood Park, NJ/Elmwood Park Mem.) finished second in the 100 (1:02.63) and 200 (2:20.17) butterflies.  She was third (2:15.87) in the 200 backstroke.  O'Brien had a second place (5:37.33) in the 500 freestyle and she was third (2:03.50) in the 200 freestyle.
