Wilkins played lacrosse and field hockey for four years. In 1983, she was named to the United States Women’s Lacrosse Association (USWLA) Division III All-America team. Wilkins was captain of the lacrosse team her junior and senior years and held several school records. In her senior year, she was named to the Brine All-Region team and tried out for the U.S. Lacrosse squad. In field hockey, Wilkins earned All-Conference honors as a junior and senior.
Wilkins graduated in 1984 and later earned her Master’s in 1990.
