John Bush was a two-sport athlete as a four-year letterwinner in baseball and a three-year member of the Glassboro State football team during his career from 1967 to 1970.
 
Bush earned NJSAC All-Conference honors in two seasons and after graduation in 1970, returned to serve as an assistant coach with both the baseball and football teams at the college.
 
He earned his master’s degree at Glassboro State in 1971 and went on to coach the varsity baseball team at Washington Township High School.
