Nelson lettered in field hockey and lacrosse for four years and in basketball for two. She was captain of the field hockey and lacrosse teams. Nelson was selected to go to nationals in California for lacrosse. A member of the dean’s list, she earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education.
