Rowan University Athletics

Painter was a four-year letter winner in track and field. In 1985, she won the NCAA Division III Championship in the javelin. She finished second her junior year and fourth as a sophomore for All-America honors. Her freshman year, she earned NAIAW All-America. Painter received the Mary A. Rice Scholar Athlete Award and graduated cum laude.
