She taught health and physical education at the University from 1963-90. O’Day coached the Profs’ basketball and tennis teams (1967-72) and lacrosse (1972-81). She served as the president of the faculty senate, president of the New Jersey Health Education Council and president of the Philadelphia College Lacrosse Association.
She earned her bachelor’s at the University of Delaware (1955) and master’s at West Chester University (1962). In 1970, she received her doctorate from Temple University.
