Rosenberg played centerfield for the national championship baseball team in 1978 and 1979. He was selected to the All-American team his junior and senior years. In 1978, Rosenberg was named the New Jersey Collegiate Player of the Year from all divisions and was chosen to the All-Conference team. He was also the team’s MVP. In 1979, he was a member of the All-Conference, All-Region tournament and nationals All-Tournament teams.
Rosenberg was drafted by the Minnesota Twins. He received his bachelor’s degree in communications in 1992.
