GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan University recorded its third straight shutout, 2-0 over Delaware Valley College on Monday night. The Profs go to 6-2 on the season, while the Aggies drop to 4-3-1.

Forward/midfielder Dylan Smith (sr. Hamilton, NJ/Steinart) scored both goals. Smith put the Profs on the scoreboard at 14:34 of the first half, heading the ball in off a cross from forward/midfielder Vinny Ignatowicz (fr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.). Smith then added the insurance tally at 74:50, converting on a corner kick.

Goalies Ryan Gill (sr. West Deptford, NJ/West Depford) and Kevin Vasta (jr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) combined for the shutout. Gill made the lone save for the Profs.

Rowan will return to action on Wednesday, September 25 at Rutgers-Camden for its New Jersey Athletic Conference opener at 7 p.m.
