NJAC Performers of the Week
Christie Raleigh (jr. Toms River, NJ/Pine Crest School (FL)) earns NJAC Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this year after helping the Profs close out their dual-meet season with a 187-75 NJAC victory over Ramapo. Individually, she produced first place finishes in both the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly with respective school-record times of 56.48 and 57.27. Raleigh also was a member of the Profs’ first place 200 medley relay which produced a winning time of 1:54.50. With the victory, Rowan finished its dual-meet season with a 6-1 overall record, including a mark of 3-1 in NJAC competition.
Gigi Russo (fr. Rumson, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven Reg.) earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after helping Rowan secure a second place finish in the NJAC with a 187-75 conference win over Ramapo. Individually, she claimed first place finishes in both the 200 freestyle (1:59.64) and the 100 freestyle (54.59). Russo also was a member of the Profs’ first place 400 freestyle relay which posted a winning time of 3;50.09.
