Demetrius Rooks (jr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) becomes the second different Prof to earn NJAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to Newark, DE to compete at the Thomson Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware. He placed first in a field of 44 competitors in the 400 meters with a winning ECAC qualifying time of 49.96. He also competed as a member of the Profs’ 4x400 meter relay which placed first in a field of 14 teams with a winning ECAC qualifying time of 3:22.63. The performance by the Profs’ 4x400 meter relay currently ranks as the eighth best Division III time in the event recorded during the 2011-12 indoor season. Rooks also currently holds the 15th best NCAA Division III time in the 400 meter event (49.91).
