NJAC Athletes of the Week
Jamie Thompson (so. Monmouth Jct., NJ/South Brunswick) earns NJAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to Collegeville, PA to compete at the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus. She placed first in a field of 18 competitors in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.19 meters. She also placed eighth in a field of 27 competitor in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.64. In addition, she ran the lead leg of the Profs’ 4x200 meter relay which placed fifth in a time of 1:51.85. Her winning leap in the long jump currently ranks 34th in NCAA Division III. The performances by Thompson helped Rowan claim second place overall in the 15-team meet.
