METAIRIE, LA – Rowan University’s Tiffany Chamberlain was named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women’s 2010 Division III All-Academic Track and Field Team.

There were a total of 330 student-athletes selected from 99 institutions on this year’s team. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 and have met the NCAA Division III Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.

This season, Chamberlain (fr. Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) competed at the NCAA Division III Championships in the 400 meter hurdles. She qualified for nationals with a school record time of 1:02.47 at the Lions’ Last Chance Meet. The NCAA provisional in the 400 meter hurdles was 1:04.20. She had the sixth best time among the qualifiers prior to the national championships.

Chamberlain won the 400 meter hurdles at the Rowan Open (1:08.92), Collegiate Track Conference Championships (1:04.66) and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships (1:04.77). She finished fourth at the Towson Invitational (1:03.50), Penn Invitational (1:03.40) and Swarthmore Last Chance Meet (1:03.60). At the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, she took sixth place in 1:04.08.

Chamberlain earned NJAC All-Conference first team honors and was named the NJAC Rookie of the Week twice. A Rowan-Scholar athlete, she is an exploratory studies major with a 3.511 GPA.
