White and Citro Collect ECAC Metro All-Star Honors; White Chosen Pitcher of the Year

ECAC Metro All-Star Team
CAPE COD, MA – Right-hander Jeff White and center fielder Matt Citro were selected to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Baseball All-Star first team. White was chosen the Metro Region Pitcher of the Year.
White (jr. Stratford, NJ/Sterling) was the Profs’ top pitcher with a 2.60 earned run average and a 7-1 record. In 72.2 innings, he struck out a team best 71 hitters while holding his opponents to a .241 batting average. This season, White was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) Division II/III Pitcher of the Year. He received NJAC All-Conference and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Mid-Atlantic All-Region first team honors. White was also selected to the NCAA Division III Championship All-Tournament Team.
Citro (jr. Bloomsbury, NJ/Phillipsburg) compiled a .339 batting average with 35 runs scored and 33 RBIs. He led the team with 14 doubles and four triples. Citro also hit four home runs. He produced a .538 slugging percentage and a .438 on-base percentage. Citro stole a team-high 24 bases in 30 attempts. He posted a .991 fielding percentage with 115 putouts. He was a NJAC All-Conference, ABCA Rawlings/Gold Glove and NJCBA All-State first team selection. Citro garnered ABCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region second team honors.
Rowan finished the season with a 26-16-1 record. The Profs advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament first round.
