NJAC Players of the Week
Designated player Ashley Landi (jr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) earns the first NJAC Player of the Week selection after hitting .700 (7-for-10) in a 2-2 opening week of play for the Profs in Maryland. She kicked off her junior season by going 2-for-2 with two doubles, four RBI, and a run scored in a 13-2 win over Albright. She then went 1-for-2 with a RBI double in an 11-3 defeat at Salisbury, before going 2-for-2 with a double, a home run, two RBI and a run scored in a 4-1 victory over Frostburg. She wrapped up the first week of the season by going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in an 8-5 defeat at Salisbury. Landi, who hit safely and drove in at least one run in all four games, currently leads the NJAC in slugging percentage (1.500).
